| | · How
does Elluminate Live differ from Marratech? We consider Elluminate to be the next step in multipoint
interactive webconferencing: as it provides a rich,
education-oriented environment and also offers scheduling
sessions, excellent documentation, training, and support.
Feature-wise
Elluminate Live has surpassed Marratech [PDF] in most all aspects
while still being easy to use. H.323 support is all that
Elluminate Live lacks as compared to Marratech, but Elluminate has
placed this feature on its roadmap. Verizon Video Portal will
bring other H.323 computer based solutions to our members soon.
Google, which acquired the Marratech software product in
April 2007, has discontinued support for that platform as of
June 2009. Verizon Access New Jersey owns its Marratech hosted
servers and licensing on a perpetual basis. Marratech will be
kept running as long as it is considered useful to our members.
However, there will be no more development of the Marratech
product as it is EOL (end-of-life) and support will be very
minimal. We are urging our users to migrate to Elluminate Live ASAP.

· Where is my recorded session?
Recorded sessions will usually be available soon after the
session ends. It may take some time before recordings are
available for viewing depending on the length and content of the
recording and server availability.
They can be seen on the Public Recording page (if Moderator has
made the recording public). Go to
live.accessnewjersey.net and click on the Recordings tab.
Make sure to select the correct date on the Elluminate Live!
calendar to find the recording or use search.
Depending on the way the session was created, uses may need a
password to view the recording (usually the same password as the
session).
Recordings will NOT be processed
and made available until after the session has ended. Sessions
will not end until every participant has left the session. It is
the Moderators responsibility to make sure ALL participants have
logged out of the session.
Recordings are played back using Elluminate Live! If you want to
use these recordings in a podcast, CD, DVD, etc this can be done
using Elluminate Publish application. [ Back to Top ]

· Moderators
- What is the proper way to end a session?
Properly ending a session is important, especially if you have
recorded the session. Recordings will NOT be processed
and made available until after the session has ended. Sessions
will not end until every participant has left the session. It is
the Moderators responsibility to make sure ALL participants have
logged out of the session.
Moderators should inform all participants to log out of the
session when it is over. Moderators can remove any participants
from a session who have left their computer unattended and stop
any participants from re-entering the session.
To make sure participants do not re-enter the session:
- Go to the Tools menu > Moderator and de-select to Allow
Participants to Enter Session. This will lock the session and no
allow anyone to enter.
- Now remove any participants that have not left (see below)
Make sure to uncheck by clicking
Should be unchecked like this to lock session
To remove participants from a session:
- Highlight the participant(s) in the Participants Window in Elluminate Live!
- Go to the Tools menu > Moderator > Remove Participant to remove.
 Highlight Participants to Remove.
 Use Tools
menu > Moderator > Remove Participant
 Confirm Removal of Participant(s)
This will remove participants from the session you are trying to
close.
If you have recorded the session the recording will process and
become available ONLY after the session has been properly ended. The
time to process will vary depending on the length and content in the
recording and how busy the servers are. [ Back to Top ]
