 ANJ Video Portal

Verizon Access New Jersey Video Portal Provides Collaborative Video Connections - Why Drive When You Can Click?

The ANJ Video Portal is a fully managed video network that connects schools, public libraries, content providers, and other participants  across New Jersey and the world, creating an interactive distance learning community. This network is one of the largest most advanced video networks in the U.S.

Here's how & why it works!
Participants can connect point to point without the Video Portal using the same protocols such as IP to IP, ATM to ATM, or ISDN to ISDN over the Access NJ network.

Bridging between protocols (ATM, ISDN, & IP) and multipoint conferences are performed by the ANJ Video Portal FREE of charge to all  K-12 schools, Public Libraries, and content providers who are registered with the portal.

Specialized video gateways and ATM switches are positioned in each New Jersey LATA (Newark/Atlantic City/Mt. Laurel). Having “portals” in three separate LATAs allows for a robust network offering total redundancy and the ability to provide local ISDN dialing to users of the ANJ network. Every school with an ATM, ISDN or IP connection can access the Video Portal. *

Three multi-port bridges (MCUs) interconnect multiple users, allowing several participants to be in a simultaneous interactive videoconference at call speeds from 128 K to 768 K or higher with the ability of varying screen views. HD video conferencing available.

The Video Portal provides QoS across the Verizon ANJ network that is fully managed by an experienced staff providing a single point of contact. The Video Portal can also provide bridging to the commodity Internet at a “best effort” QoS.
